The Tiny Rosebud

The beautiful tiny rosebud.

          is a flower of GOD’s design,

But, I can not unfold those petals,

          in these clumsy hands of mine!

The secret of unfolding flowers

          is not known to such as I.

The flowers God opens so easily,

          in my hands wither and die.

If I can not unfold a tiny rosebud,

          this flower of GOD’s design,

Then, how can I have the wisdom

          to unfold this life of mine!

For the path that lies before me,

          my heavenly father knows.

So, I’ll trust him to unfold each new day,

          as he so easily unfolds the rose!
