Night

I want to curl up

      Where it’s quiet,

To hear the tick

      Of settling floors,

To watch the dark

      Pass my eyes,

To feel the quiet

      That makes my bones

Relax

To touch the clouds

      Where my dreams

Reside,

And sink

      Into the drifting

Shifting

      Labyrinthine logic

That I call rest

      And sleep.
