Jan 12, Tuesday, 7:30 PM; COMEDY SIG; MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN: A soap-opera spoof so good they named it twice. As opposed to “Soap” which was merely a good sitcom with a soap-opera theme, “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” (from this point forward shall be referred to as MH2) was more on-target as a spoof because it was just so derned straight-faced in its depiction of the form - complete with a mixture of the low-key (star Louise Lasser’s performance) and the overacted (everyone else in the cast), the corny swelling music, the uncorrected gaffes and - most importantly - no laugh track. We’ll take a look at as many as we can (or can stand?) in this first installment of MH2 that features the first 25 episodes that went into production. Join us at 9421 Minerva Ave. (NHA)
